Archbishop Roy Edward Brown

Birth: Born in Birmingham, AL
Ministry: Accepted Christ as Savior at the age of six

  • Received the Holy Ghost and acknowledged his call to the ministry at the age of seventeen

  • Accepted his first pastorate in 1965 at the age of twenty-two

  • Became Pastor of Pilgrim Church in 1966

  • Consecrated as Bishop, July 18, 1990 and established the Pilgrim Assemblies International, Inc. on that same day. Pilgrim Assemblies is a Christian reformation presently composed of churches throughout the United States, the Caribbean, South Africa and West Africa

  • Elevated to the office of Archbishop, March 27, 1996

  • July 12, 1998 – relocated the Pilgrim Church to larger worship facilities in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn (formerly the Pilgrim Church Renaissance Convention Center)
