Emel Washington was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. After the passing of his parents at a very young age he was raised by his mother’s older, sister Hattie Harrison. She kept him in church and instilled in him the importance of having a relationship with God. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at the age of 14; and has since developed a devout passion and love for youth and young adults.

Minister Emel currently serves as Youth Pastor of Pilgrim Fresh Fire Youth and Children’s Pastor of God’s Gift. Minister Washington has worked closely under the tutelage and mentorship of Archbishop Roy E. Brown and his Senior Pastor DeBora A. Crowe. His mission in ministry is to encourage the “Next Generation” to enthusiastically pursue a relationship with God; and to seek to live up to God’s standard; while striving to be 10x better, as referenced in Daniel chapter 1.

He is the proud husband to Melissa Washington, and proud father of 4 remarkable children: Ethan, Evan, Eva, and Ellie
